Crown Beverages Limited (CBL) has revealed a star-studded team to go along with the hugely rewarding under the crown campaign as a celebration of the ongoing UEFA Champions League. The makers of Pepsi in Uganda announced the UGX 1.6bn promotion at a media engagement activity this morning at Fast Fusion Sports grounds in Kampala.

The campaign dubbed “Thirsty for more” will give customers a chance to win exciting prizes such as T-shirts, caps, headphones, string bags, sodas etc. Under the crown promotion will go along with a footballing, fun, and exciting Alumni schools champions league activation every champion’s league night.
While announcing this year’s campaign, the Head of Marketing at CBL, Mr Luzinda Timothy revealed that this year’s campaign will feature Messi the world’s best and Vinicius Jr last year’s goal scorer in the final.
‘’Since becoming a sponsor in 2015, the PepsiCo and UEFA partnership has become stronger and more exciting each year. Today, it is the largest global platform we are a part of and participate each season with best-in-class commercial campaigns,’’ Luzinda said.

“Upon buying a 300ml returnable glass Pepsi bottle and the 330ml Pepsi max PET bottle, customers shall stand a chance of winning lots of prizes.

The School’s Alumni Champions league: Over the last few years we have had different schools’ leagues mushrooming in and around the country. What Pepsi has done is to bring these schools together by picking the top four from selected school leagues to create a league of champions to mirror the UEFA champions League.
The league will start with 8 schools (Kings college Budo, Ntare school, Mbarara high school, Kibuli senior secondary school, Namugongo senior secondary school, Ndejje senior secondary school, St. Henry’s Kitovu and Makerere college). For the first season schools were picked randomly however we are looking to increase the number for the second season.

The Pepsi Brand Manager, Mr. Ernest Ssentongo noted that Pepsi has a great and rich history of giving back to its customers through life-changing promotions and activations.
